Hi!
I undervolted my GPU to 0.8620V on MSI afterburner. Tried playing AC Odyssey but game crashes after a few mins. Is this normal?
CPU: i7-8750H
GPU: GTX 1060
Thanks in advance!

hacktrix2006 Hold My Vodka, I going to kill my GPU
It means your undervolt is took low, try increasing it slightly.

It's normal. You are taking away voltage from the CPU that makes it unstable. As hacktrix2006 said, raise the voltage a bit and try again.

It is possible to use 0.85V voltage, but you have to lower the maximum core clock speed to ~1700Mhz.

For example you might be able to do +215 @ 0.793V, but that doesn't mean it'll run stable when doing +215 @0.850V. Instead you may have to lower to +202 @ 0.850V. -
Stress testing is a must when you're testing undervolting. Just because it hasn't crashed yet, doesn't mean it's not spitting errors.
Personally, I use OCCT's artifact test (Keep a very close eye on temps and adjust shaders to compensate).
Test 5 min per voltage, then a final test of 1 hour. If it passes that, I still back the clockspeed down 2% and that's my final setting.Guntraitor Sagara and Kevin@GenTechPC like this. -
why are you undervolting? if you need to decrease your maximum temperatures and also decrease your gpu performance then yes, you can do it. otherwise mobile pascal with default gpu vbios undervolting is pointless.
