Hello, I purchased a new replacement GTX 1070 for my GT62VR 7RE back in March when the card it had died. Well it turned out that the board in my laptop was bad too. I was just recently able to replace it using a working donor system, however the card is not functioning correctly. It is suffering frame timing issues when playing games in fullscreen mode. The issue is reduced when I play in borderless windowed mode, but it still occasionally occurs.

The games I know that it occurs in are Skyrim SE, Nier Automata, and Tales of Berseria. Older games like Morrowind, Oblivion, and Age of Mythology do not suffer from this. I should also mention that it doesn't constantly occur. I was able to play Skyrim for around 2 hours yesterday, before it happened, but it was persistent and lasted for at least 2 seconds before the frame timing stabilized.

From what I have heard online, issues like this are generally related to the vbios on the card. I believe I have the latest version, but I am uncertain. I was wondering if I should contact the seller on eBay? As I said I just recently started using this card, and it was bought new so it shouldn't have these issues right?

I would have posted this on MSI's forums, but they seem to be having issues right now. I get dropped into the home page for my user account when I click on the login button in the forums. Trying to return to the forums through the user account page just puts me back at them but logged out.

    What are "Frame timing issues"?
This tells us basically nothing except "something went wrong."

I meant to say issues with the response time on my monitor. The monitor in my notebook is calibrated for a 16.7ms response time, which the graphics card is able to maintain most of the time. However, as I said earlier, when playing games the response time will occasionally jump upwards of 22ms+ and stays there for several seconds causing intense lag.

I utilize Kaldaien's Special K injector which has overlays that let me monitor the response time in real-time. This happens whether I have the injector running or not.

This did not happen with the card that originally came with the laptop, which led me to believe it was an issue with the new card.
