I stumbled upon this: http://www.notebook-doctor.com/it-pi-n-Acer_VG_M9606_005_VGA_BD_M96_1GB_DDR2_500MHZ-pId-1881718.html
It's kinda pricey though...And I figured you would also have to lie about your laptop model.

I would avoid these, they use ddr2!

Sorry put the wrong link: http://www.notebook-doctor.com/it-pi-n-Acer_VG_M9606_004_VGA_BD_M96_1GB_900MHZ_MXM-pId-1881717.html The previous link is supposedly a hd4650, the link I included in this port is the hd4670 with gddr3 clocked a 900mhz.

lol how did you figure this out "Acer VG.M9606.004 VGA BD.M96.1GB.900MHZ.MXM" to be a hd4670?
Anyways, how does this compare to a high oc 9600m gt? The main reason I liked the 9600m gt is that it uses only 23 watts. According to notebook check, this uses 35watts. -
M96 is the name of the core on the 4670, 1gb tho? thats nice and so is the memory.
-
-
But it seems to be a different story on a desktop.
The HD4670 can come close to a 9600GSO, but a 9600GT, quite unlikely.
Well, unless nVidia has funny naming conventions for the mobile counterpart. -
That's because the desktop 9600 has a 256 bit bus width and the mobile version has 128 bit bus width.
-
The only hope for HD4670 upgrade is using the EX625's one
-
Are you sure it's MXM-A? I though the 8935 used the older MXM ports?
-
It surely wont be just -A itl be 3a most likely, but i'd expect it to be mxm 2 but since its performing in 9700m gts region its likely ATI's lower of high end cards, so it should be 3.

Why there are no modulesDo you know the part number of MSI's HD4670?
-
Wasn't someone in the Acer forum supposed to get the part number for the HD4670 in the ex-625?
-
Well, it's me, but I'm still waiting. Hopefully tomorrow
