    Hi All,
I am a new owner of GX640. I have installed the the latest ATI drivers, 10.6, and the laptop doesn't resume from sleep.
I have read a lot and I know that MSI has posted a new BIOS & Firmware to solve this problem (1656). I would like someone to help me with the following:
1- There is 1 BIOS and 2 Firmware updates. Which one to install?
2- Both the BIOS and the Firmware have to be run under DOS using a bootable USB drive, I have tried a lot but I failed to make a bootable USB drive. Can some one show me the steps to flash the new BIOS/Firmware?

    Best regards,
    Shehab.

    Hi All,
After searching in this forum, I believe, I found one suggestion to turn off ATI PowerPlay. I have done that and the computer woke up from sleep.
I have also asked Jarred Walton from anandtech to send me the CD ISO that MSI sent him and he did. I might enable PowerPlay and try the new BIOS and VBIOS. I will update you once I do.
Anyway, I am still interested in knowing how to make a bootable USB drive to flash the BIOS, any help is appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Shehab.

you need to create a win98 boot disk, not just the bootable iso.

you can download the win98 boot disk files on google by typing,

I am sorry that i cannot provide the link because I'm typing on my stupid iPad..
