Go to the Realtek HD Audio Manager.

There's a battery icon on the bottom of the panel,

Click on it, and this will pop up. Set the option so that it will sleep only on battery to preserve battery life. Set the time to maximum, 30 seconds.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a fix for the battery case.
I experienced the speaker going to sleep after some time and sounds muffled when using iTunes for a few seconds before blasting out.

ah, so thats why my sound was sleeping. oh well i can live without the drivers, i dont hear a difference without them.

=) fixed it completely. see the blue dot next to the "power management enabled"? click it and it turns off.
