It has 9600m GT, which is making it cheap. It's a nice comp if you don't need the graphics. If you do, the OCZ whitebook is a much better deal than NP5796.

the MS-1722 is a great notebook for overall use, it has the support for the future because it's able to use the new Intel Quad core and the Core 2 Duo series.
The GPU is also great it comes to overall performance and use.

I just pre-ordered a notebook for myself (ocz notebook), now looking for the wife...

We were looking at the 860TU and the 1722, found both here below and the 1722 is alot less inexpensive than exotic. Think i may go with this one because of the thin and light design rather than the 860TU. They have a barebone available and two pre-configured models:

RePaRaQu - Do you have any benchmarks when you tested the Quad Core? It would be interesting to see the gains over the dual cores.

Which benchmark software are you looking for, the tests are done with 3DMark Vantage and with PC Mark Vantage.
3DMark06 is working but not great because the performance is down. (No DX10 Support no Great Vista Support and no full support for Mobile Quad Core Support) not to speak about the support for Montevina (Intel Centrino2).

I don't know if it's possible to show the bencmark results online (forum rules) but i might send them in private.
