I'm looking to buy a firewire 400 expresscard to fit into my GX640 but I'm not sure what would be compatible with it.

If anyone can help me out by informing me what kind of expresscard devices are compatible, or point out out some compatible firewire expresscards it would be great.

    thanks.

There's already a firewire port on the notebook.

I figured that would be the first response I'd get.

The onboard firewire chipset isn't compatible with my (or any for that mater) recording interface.

Are you serious? In my case win7 was the problem because it dont support firewire full.
    try this drivers:

maybe that work also for you ;-)

if not all expresscard slot 54 cards should work fine ;)
