Obviously, the first one is the placement of the FN key. But over the past 6 months, i'm slowly getting used to it.

The other thing that really irks me is that the battery life is JUST 10-20 minutes short of a full DVD movie. Everytime I want to watch a movie (with full battery life), the battery runs out and it forces shutdown pretty much at the END of every movie. It's impossible to watch a movie without slightly charging it at some point. What's up with that?!!?

Anything I can do to squeeze out the extra 10-20 minutes of battery life??

Change the windows power setting to power saver. Also if your video card software has something (ATI has powerplay, nvidia has something too, not sure what its called). Make sure these are on power saver as well.

Aside from going deeper into undervolting, this is your only option.

Removing your monitor will help also.
