Does the mainboard of 1762 has a physical power supply limitation?

I've flashed the beta EC unlocking TDP throttle and bought a 230w adaptor. But I heard the whole power supply of the notebook was still restricted to 180w. So does it mean it's useless to change with a more powerful AC adaptor?

Then no. The machine will still cut off when you go really crazy but it buys a lot of room.

Where did you purchase the AC adapter?

I bought it from a friend. He changed the DC wire of a Dell 230w Adapter with a 5.5*2.5-port DC wire for 1762's port. I think you can search on epay for a 5.5*2.5-port one or buy a Dell/HP/Clevo adaptor and change the wire by yourself. Good luck!

Yeah due to the officially listed specs of the adapter (5.5x2.5 barrel) you are unlikely to.
