    Does MSI work well with Linux?

    I am considering getting the GE60 2OE and I was wondering if anyone had any experience with MSIs and linux

    Bad idea for a native install cause of the speakers, didnt work well for me on the GE60, I always had static on the speakers when powering down both under Fedora and LM14.

    But it runs absolutely perfect in virtualbox cause there's more than enough power.

    Optimus on linux isn't really "there" yet, but better support is coming now that nvidia has been shamed into caring about it. The killer nic required a tweak of the driver to add a PCI ID the last time I tried it. The keyboard LED interface isn't exposed by any driver, there isn't anyone who has really dug into the firmware to create a robust linux driver yet for MSI gaming laptops. It would take a few weeks of spare-time hacking and a sampling of different generations' hardware at the very least, to get that done.
