    Does MSI GT80 2QE support 4k external monitor?

    I am wondering if a GT80 2QE will suport a 4K external monitor. Any insight would be appreciated.

    IIRC that one has HDMI 2.0, which supports 4K 60Hz.

    You're better off using the DisplayPort output because it supports 4K/60 as well as adaptive refresh rate through G-Sync or FreeSync on a supported monitor.

    Thanks. I probably won't use an external monitor, but was more curious about whether it could support a 4k. I am very new to gaming computer specs.

    I have the 6QE variant and I run a 32" 4K Dell and a 27" QHD monitor via HDMI that's 2560x1440.
