    Do you run Linux? I installed Ubuntu on GT80 SLI

    I tried to install a number of distributions and wanted to post my experience here. I had terrible results with Redhat 7.6, CentOS, they both would not install. I haven't tried the latest RH 8. Fedora installed but had issues with some drivers. Finally I tried the latest-greatest Ubuntu 19.04 and it went smoothly and everything works. Audio, sees my 4K monitor, etc. That is my favorite distro at the moment.

    My disk layout is highly modified. First, I undid the RAID it came with. Boot off a single Samsung PM981 with the second PM981 being used as the drive to image the primary to in case I need to recover the operating system. They are both NVMe/PCIe of course. The third SSD is the 2.5" SATA III disk for data and the 4th is the 2280 SSD that's also SATA III and that is where I installed Linux. It's a lot slower than the NVMe used for Windows 10 but not visible in RL, the speed difference is 500mbs versus 3000mbs. The HGST hard drive is about 90mbs read/write so that was the first thing to be removed.

    To boot into Linux, I have to hit F11 during the boot cycle - when it displays the MSI logo and then it gives a list of bootable devices, where you can select the Ubuntu disk.

    Nothing? no responses? Nobody else runs Linux on MSI Titan laptops?

    I've had some downtime with Windows lately and surprisingly, Linux works very nice. Specifically the Ubuntu 19.04 distro.

    I was running Ubuntu on GT75 Titan. I had some issue with the "intel optane blabla" in the BIOS.

    Fedora was running great too but didn't boot when i tried to install Nvidia drivers

    I was surprised I had so many issues with Redhat. And CentOS.

    If I recall correctly, CentOS did not see all of my disks and wanted to install itself on the primary Windows 10 disk.

    Latest-greatest Ubuntu 19.04 with the latest Gnome is the most trouble free install I've seen thus far.

    Hi, I am thinking of installing ubuntu on my gt75 titan laptop. What are the chances of it being installed without any issues? Can we get drivers for all eg steel series rgb keyboard, audio, wifi etc

    Almost everything should work out of the box if you use Ubuntu.
    For the keyboard, or anything related to Steelseries software, either run it with Wine, or try this:

    Audio, wifi, GPU, all those use common parts/drivers, so work as they should.
