    Distributor is conning me? (concerning the MS-1012)

    I've got a bit of a problem and this seems to be the perfect place to ask my question :). Someone on this forum had this to say about the MS-1012 (CoffeeShark it was)

    Does this apply for every MSI (like the one stationed in the netherlands http://www.msi-computer.nl)?

    Because my distributor is trying to tell me that they're getting the MS-1012 from MSI w/out optical, w/out keyboard and with 4-cell battery, I'm thinking I might get conned here :p

    You are getting massively conned. Generally all barebones come with the optical, keyboard, and battery. I have never heard of a laptop coming without these. If I were you I would try finding a new distributor.

    Thanks, just what i suspected hehe.

    Unfortunately there's only one MSI distributor who delivers the barebones (for a reasonable price that is). I'll try to contact MSI tommorow morning see what they have to say about this.

    Seriously tho... that's pretty strange of them to strip the barebones of teh batt,optical and keyboard....

    4 cell battery? zomg! those are so rare! i want one soo bad.. theres like several threads regarding 4 cell batteries for the s250/s260/s270.. id really like a 4 cell battery.. too bad theyre discontinued.. wonder where the guy is getting them from..

    Very weird, MSI is telling me their ms-1012 barebone comes with an 8-cell battery but no keyboard or optical... I think im going crazy, whats going on here?

    Does anyone have the specifications of the 1012 barebone which says there should be a optical and keyboard in there too? :/
