Several days ago, I got a Dell 7970M but I cannot have it well performed. Could you plz make a larger zoom in that 'GPU power rework' therefore I could make a same modification for that?

Currently, my 7970M can full loaded when I disable two cpu cores(2670QM). When I activate all four cores, the load of GPU will drop dramatically to 30%-40% , the frame will drop from 50 to 15(Test Drive Ultimate 2)

I am wondering if I need a GPU power rework on motherboard. And I am wondering how large the risk will be.

Sorry for my poor English.I have no idea what to do next as I have to leave my home to UK on July 16th, from China.I badly need help to get everything done before I leave:cry:

Have you tried using Throttlestop? Also, what is your AC adapter?

For the MXM power mod, you will need to be comfortable soldering.

Sounds like your laptop is throttling. Download ThrottleStop to monitor and maybe fix this problem.

Yep throttlestop, rework is not needed, just make sure you have a delta 150w or 180w any brand psu.
