Ok I went to microsoft web site typed my key in for replacement media disc
and it told me to contact the Manufacturer. So i send an email to MSI. been 4 days no response. Is there any way to get a 64 bit home premium disc legally besides PAYING for another copy of vista?!?! I don't want torrents since i am not fond of backdoors and virus's. I am a legit guy and i want a legit means. any advice or help?

Well you only need the installation disc since your serial key works for both Vista 32bit & 64bit. How to acquire that is a bit difficult however depending on your situation. Contacting MSI won't do much good since I believe someone alreayd tried here and they were refused. The best you can do is scout around from friends or family and perhaps maybe go see a retail store which does installations and ask if you can borrow it

Doesn't the 64b version of Vista REQUIRE signed drivers? I've read that elsewhere, which has me not too hot to try to install 64b Vista now as I use a few unsigned drivers: ext2 filesystem, image mounters, etc.

OK thanks. Someone else also answered much the same in the GT627 thread, so I guess I'll go back to acquiring/borrowing a 64b install disk.
