    DELL 240w power adapter on gt60

    I have two dell 240w power adapters lying around, is there any way to use one for my gt60 2pe?

    The NB will not draw more than designated wattage value unless you have an unlocked EC firmware.

    Also you will have to change the charging tip, Dell uses different from MSI GT60.

    This would requires replacing the tip by cutting out the old tip and replace with a new one which isn't a recommended solution as the contact point can be weakened.

    Nope, as mentioned earlier, the EC firmware limits the amount of power can be drawn. :)

    ok thank you, its too much hassle so for the time being ill stick with the 180w
