So I am planning on buying either the new MSI or new ASUS, both which has the ATI 5870.

I can't get Bad Company 2 to run smoothly on my current machine...

Specs for machine I want to sell... the GT725:
    P8600 at 2.4 ghz
    ATI mobility 4850
    4gb Ram
    1650x1050 resolution

The new machine I want is 1400-1600 dollars, depending on a few things here and there. Obviously I would like to get as much as possible, what do you guys think it is worth now?

Also, on a percent scale, how much better are those new machines compared to mine? 20% better? 60% better?

That laptop's not even a year old. You're going to burn a lot of money upgrading like this.

The 5870 is approximately 30% better.

But with the 5870 AND the i7 720, how much better is it? I'm trying to sell it as NOT to burn money. I mean, If I can get enough for this laptop, then I will of only spent so much on the new one.
