I am on a GT780DX and wondering if this is down to drivers or if I need to provide extra power via additional USB cable (right now it is only connected by single SATA cable)…

    Help? Thanks

**Edit - my external enclosure (Hornettek) is rated to do max 3GB/sec..

***Double Edit - basically need to know what transfer speed SATA can handle on this mobo - checking manual..

    Try looking via HwInfo64

It should give more information about your system

Depends which slot is used - I think there is one 6GB/s, one 3 GB/s and the DVD slot is 1.5 GB/s. eSata is 3 GB/s.
