With the GT72 we get an all new redesigned 17" laptop and so far it seems MSI did a fantastic job, it looks great and with the new dual fans is exactly what MSI fans have asked for.
We are at some point going to get a new 15" model as well and hopefully this it .
MSI introduces WS60 2OJ mobile workstation

MSI Global - Computer, Laptop, Notebook, Desktop, Motherboard, Graphics and more

It looks amazing and with a new thin chassis could easily accept 2nd gen Maxwell cards and hopefully broadwell CPU's.

Now I could be 100% wrong it looks very close to the GS60 Ghost chassis but slightly different and smaller but overall very nice looking.

I'm quite sure that is a GS60 chassis looking at the pictures. Also the exact same specs as the GS60 except the GPU. Of course I wouldn't be against a GT62 of this size with an upgradable GPU though :p.

That's a GS60 Workstation, GT62 release date is unknown right now. No one knows yet if such thing exists.

I know what it is, I'm speculating if MSI is going to use this chassis for the next GT62.
I believe it's slightly smaller and thinner than the 15" Ghost series.
Doesn't MSI use the same chassis design for both the gaming series and work station series most of the time?

I wonder where the side utility buttons are going to be placed on the GT62

Since we didnt see the GT72 chassis change to one like the GS70 I dont think they will do it for the GT62 either.

Wont know for certain until its released though.

GS60 is too compact for GT62, but the buttons may be placed above the keyboard instead of the left side due to smaller marginal space.

That's a workstation? What is that ridiculous badge doing on it? The Gaming "gangsta" Series one on my Gs60 it bad enough, that's even worse!
They've gone so wrong with this just by being lazy. It won't sell particular well for a few reasons.
    1) the aforementioned badge, it should have just had MSI logo and blank back.
    2) stupid branding e.g. Steels Series decal. If you have to have then make them stickers.
    3) neon LED's (they should have been white)
    4) stupid font on the keyboard.

Pull that out at a meeting your gonna get laughed at.

This is coming for a GS60 owner who takes his laptop to work.

I agree, but we must be older adults.
But, perhaps some companies with younger adults probably don't mind about this, lol. :)

Well I'm 28 so I'm not too old. I just think flashing lights and bling is a bit old hat. I think apple has revolutionised what we expect from our products (as much as I hate to praise apple).

I agree. Though I haven't received my GS60 just yet to see how bad the emblem really is... I do like a minimalist look and without the 'gaming' keyboard font and other things typical of laptops aimed at gamers. Mac's just have a nice look to them. And a lot of ultra books do well in this department too.

Sorry, but this was obviously a GS60 chassis, the "WS60" name even gave it away. Of course the GT62 is realistically not going to look like this... why would they destroy their own product GS60 line by introducing one almost exactly the same? Makes absolutely zero sense.

They won't cross the same path, GT62 is heavy-duty and GS60 = WS60 except the GPU is the only difference.

I'm sorry but the gs60 looks ugly for a gaming laptop. Plus airflow would be awful! the gt62 design needs to look exactly like how the gt72 looks like but in 15.6" form! the gt72 is gorgeous. I really hope the gt62 is the same design as the gt72 or maybe better looking. If not then I will be purchasing the gt72 later
