Hey peeps, thanks to ryzeki from these forums I was able to grasp a lot of information regarding the GX660 and its performance. I am really considering it since it covers me in all aspects but I do have a few considerations. I really heard that MSI is lacking the good Customer SUpport. I was checking their website and in the UK they didnt have an RMA service, I am sure they do, but something was wrong with it, because even Lithuania etc had one. UK has to have one. Also I noticed a lot of GX660 users have a lot of problems but that cant be a factor because each laptop unit is unique and can have evolve differently. As well as the different SSD's problems that users seem to have regarding compatibility etc. I really dunno what to do. Although its a perfect machine, the warranty worries me the most. Its like i am gonna buy it and if something fails, i wont know where to start, or i wont have somewhere to take it so they can fix it. Thing is cause i am a foreigner in the UK, cypriot student, i cant drive to take it to an MSI provider, so they got to come and pick it up, which is supposed to be covered by the warranty as most companies, but its not.

what are your thoughts? any UK MSI user who can help me?

If you consider GX660...so you want to spend like 600GBP...i bought my Alienware m17xR2 from ebay for 620......in LIKE NEW CONDITION.

My friend have gx660r, it is nice, but after i changed my gx740 to M17xR2 i will never go back to MSI....not becouse they are bad laptops....they are good....but Alienware is better...for the same price - why not ?

I can help you in searching if you want :)

    Cheers

I wouldn't go for a laptop on eBay, either. I'm not a big fan of eBay, and if you find an Alienware for the same price as an MSI, I think there's a problem there.
