Like topic says at the start of the June I had purchased a GX70 with the AMD A-10 and HD8970 it did not perform as expected it and crashed quite a bit. I did benchmark it at the start and it did score on the high end of similar stocked laptops.

But the new GT70 that I ordered with the 4800MQ and 780M blew it out of the water. I knew it was gonna be a better system but this was quite a large jump forward. I can still tweak and clean the system up to probably get better numbers as well.

Just wanted to share these benchmarks in case anyone was wondering between the two and money was not an option.

AMD is fine for budget but as the maxim goes (usually): you get what you pay for. Thanks for the links! Hopefully the GT70 treats you well for years to come. :)

Ya, not quite a fair comparison. The GT60/70 with GTX770 is a lot closer in price and you may find some games and settings running a little faster on the AMD system in that case. Judging by most of the activity in this forum, it looks like the majority of people are going for the Intel machines. For me, it came down to the CPU performance being needed for work and that the GT is more well rounded performance wise. There are some cases where the 7970 in the GX is severely held back by the CPU.
