It's the same driver, if your notebook is not recognized, just use the have disk method.
-
What you want is "10-6_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe", which I think is indeed different from the desktop driver.
Typically you get mobile drivers from here, but that way you have to go through an intermediate step. You can do a direct download through this method, however.
I've already downloaded and installed 10.6 myself, but it looks like the download page is currently down. -
Yep, the download was down when I was downloading halfway at around 8% and it cut off my download, the online installer from amd site still works though, which is what I used to download.
-
... nice the release notes are for 10.5
So, are there any changes?!? ... Although if there are any they will be for 5xxx series cards ... and most probably none for 4xxx series ... -

I just installed them off the main site. So far I can't say I've noticed any different. Same 3DMark06 score, but actually when I ran the Heaven benchmark I actually LOST a few FPS compared to 10.5. Not good.
EDIT: With great pleasure I realized I can actually resume from hibernate now!
Edit2: Still can't shut down the notebook on battery. If I do then I have to recover the system. Guess I'm going back to 10.5, because uh... slightly lower performance on 10.6, and the other thing is.. the temperature with 10.6 is like 4 degrees higher. I don't like.
