MSI 1719 w/ T7300 (2.0ghz)
I paid for that much power assuming i would be able to us it!!
Even when on high performance The best i ever get even when pushing the system is 1.5
1.5ghz!!???? I might as well saved $100s
OK so i get the 2.0 ghz using Prime but
would be nice to get it when i need it rippin a moovy.
I want to turn it off all the way. any one know how.

That auto descaling is called speed step which is a good thing so I dont recommend disabling it. When you dont need the power, your cpu down clocks and you will have a cooler laptop(monitor the temps when your idling versus benchmarking). When you need the power(gaming/benchmarking), it will automatically give you the power you need.
In fact many people go a step future and undervolt their CPU so that they get even cooler laptop(and some more battery life)...see the cooling central for more info on undervolting and how to monitor your temps aswell as other suggestions so that your laptop lasts awhile . -
If you want it to constantly run at the 100% (for Vista), just click on the power option and change settting. Then select change advance settings, one of the options available is processor power management. Set the minimum and maximum to 100%.
