Can't find CHK number

I have a P65 8RD Creator Laptop. I need to register it but the registration page asks for the CHK number and the sticker with the CHK number has fallen off or been removed. Is there another way to find this using software perhaps, or looking somewhere in the laptop? I have taken the back off but can't see any 3 digit number on the back of the motherboard.

I thought maybe Dragon Centre can provide this (not sure though), but it won't start ('Dragon Centre is not supported on this model' is the message after installing).

In SYSTEM ENCLOSURE there is no 3-digit number. There is only a 10 digit serial number.

In SYSTEM there is no 3-digit number either. Only the full serial number.

CHK number is supposed to be 3 digits long.

OK I'm going to try that version of Dragon Centre at the link.

Only Dragon Centre seems to be available on the 8RD support page, no Creator Centre.

Sorry I don't understand the rest of the message ('edit repair; 'CREATOR NB', '+ DRAGON SW', and 'NB PAGE').

 

When I look in Hwinfo64 in SYSTEM and SYSTEM ENCLOSURE, it does not show any 3-digit numbers. Only longer serial numbers.

if you receive the same "device not supported" message for dragon center
exist one problem "bios corrupt"

this is possitible verify in HWINFO - HWINFO/MOTHERBOARD/ ME FW VERSION - 0.0.0.0.0 - corrupt bios/me "no-valid device for MSI SW"
or boot to BIOS/MAIN - device name or family name -- no info "corrupt"

these problems need a special fix ,,or signalize problem on motherboard !

So, you mean that notebooks do NOT have a 3-digit CHK code. Is that correct?

You mean there is an error in the MSI website, because the Creator Centre software should be available on the support page but it isn't there. Have I understood you correctly there?

I cannot find 'ME FW VERSION'.

in the 'MOTHERBOARD' section it says 'Bios Version....E16q31mS1.04'

 

I have always used these 10 digit registration codes for MSI notebooks
3-digit -- PARTS ,.., is I think only for mobo ,,.gpu ,.,etc

creator SW is only on windows store "9TH-10TH above" ,.,it may not have existed before

when the BIOS look fine ,.,.try update to latest version "bios + EC fw !" -- better compatibility for MSI sw / windows

I can't register on the MSI site. It is asking for a CHK value. How do I find it?

the CHK is on the back of your laptop. where the serial number and other info. it's easy to find ) hope the photo will help you out
