Hi, I burned the recovery discs when I first got my laptop.
Now I would like to restore my computer back to factory default.
The only thing that is actually problematic is my laptops program "S-Bar".

    I have an MSI FX620DX-256US

S-Bar is required to be running to eject the disc tray. There is no physical button to eject it.

Is there a way at all to restore to factory settings with an external hard drive?

It's been a while, but it seems to me that the recovery program auto-ejects when it's time to replace recovery disc..... but if not, a straightened paperclip poked through the pin-hole in the drive door will release it. It may take a little practice, but go straight in with the paperclip, and apply needed pressure to the internal eject release button.

If you are within Windows and the eject button is not working, go into 'My Computer', right-mouse click the optical drive, and select 'eject' from the drop-down menu.
