I know there used to be a trade in our upgrade offered by MSI at the time etc. It's a few years later now and I'm wondering if there has been any movement on the video card upgrade path?

Can I upgrade video card to get more life out of the old girl? Which card? Is it only through MSI?

    Any help appreciated!

Yes! Using the MSI GTX 1060 ONLY. It will never work reliably like a stock setup and the performance increase is minimal. The cost is ridiculous as is card and heatsink availability. NOT RECOMMENDED!
If you meant Upgrade WITH A GTX 980m. YES!
