Folks, My son has a CX700 laptop, model # MS-1731 which has somehow managed to get sticky gunk on the keyboard. Basically the space key has to be pressed and lifted up with your fingernail each time.

I have been searching online for either a manual or instructions on how to remove the keyboard. Surely I don't have to strip it down completely? I set off at the weekend by removing ALL screws and was at the point of prying the motherboard loose when I gave up thinking "this can't be correct". So, all I have now is a laptop with a bust DVD drive, a few spare screws (I know!) and still impossible to type on.

Anybody, please, any advice, tell me there's a couple of screws somewhere around the screen I can undo and it pops off 'cause I am ready to throw the bloody thing out.

    Cheers in advance
