I need some new key retainer clips for my GX660R. Does anyone know where I can buy some? I'd rather not replace the entire keyboard for 3 busted keys.
Thanks.

These keyboards are not very common so it's a replacement rather than a repair job with them.

It's also not a part that is generally stocked, so you'll probably need to replace the keyboard.

That's what I feared. Thanks anyway.

Try this site: Replacement keyboard keys for MSI
I couldn't find the GX660 but you might find one with a compatible keyboard model. -

The backlit keyboards are likely different, you are looking for up to the 16F2 and GT680 series of keyboards.

Bull

?? I have scrapped keyboards maybe we can use some parts from it

What do you mean bull? The original non backlit keyboards on the 16f2 and 680 line were a different series of keyboards, they had a different action to them.

I don't think any of the keyboards on that website will suit me. I need the retainers from this keyboard:
MSI GX660 GT660 A6200 CR620 US Layout Laptop Keyboard V111922AK3 V111922AK1 | eBay
I can get the whole keyboard for about $20 so I'll probably end up just doing that. -
Now that I've bought a replacement keyboard, anybody care to enlighten me as to the proper way to remove a key? Ever time I do it I break something.
