Man, after a bunch of reading, and going back and forth between an Hp Envy 15 and a Sager np165, I ended up with a PowerPro R 11:36 from Powernotebooks. They had great customer service and ended up saving me over a 500 dollars with much better performance compared to the Sager. Just giving a recommendation to anyone looking for a laptop with decent portability but awesome gaming prowess to take a look at this one.

$1900 seems high to me for a 15" lappy. The only real significant piece of hardware in that configuration is the vcard - no backlit keyboard, no SSD...maybe I'm going to wait a while for prices to cool off. *sigh*

1080p screen, 9 cell battery, quad core CPU are also all in there.

Also you hit the nail on the head, the 580M is not cheap, try and find a machine with one for less (still with a quad core CPU).

The 570M especially after tweaking will get you most of the performance but if you want THE best, you will pay dearly for it from Nvidia.

It's the very reason MSI went with the 570M/560M it lets them stay competitive while keeping most of the performance.
