    Hey guys!

Today I bought a gx780 for 1150 after mail rebate! I'm just curios if anyone thinks this was a good buy? I don't see alot of them around here but it seemed like a pretty nice laptop!! It does have the gt 555m but with only me workin we have a stricter budget!! I'm so nervous I haven't even opened it yet :(

    Thank you!!

unless size and weight is an issue! you wont regret it!

$1150 is a good deal! because it's only $100 more than i5 GE620DX, but for that you get 17.3" and colorful keyboard

That's a problem that even the newer generation gt780r and gt780dxr users have been having as well. I personally don't have the keyboard or touchpad problems, but there's plenty of ideas for fixes around the forums. For the price, you definitely made a good buy! =)

I had a GX680 I got for around $1100.00. I sent it back as I was having problems with the GT555 video card. After leaving the computer overnight it would not respond in the morning. It had several video hardware errors in Windows reliability history. It cost me $75.00 for the experience which was total BS for a defective product. I got mine from NCIX.com and wont buy from them again unless its a unreal deal. All in all it was a pretty neat machine., defiantly very fast, but the video was a bit weak for my gaming needs. Screen and sound were awesome. Good luck with yours and the rebate, which can come in the form of a credit card you can only use in certain businesses. Not to buy anything like you can do with cash.
