    Hi,

I have a problem either with my hard-drive or with the connection between the hard-drive and the rest of the notebook.

When I open my computer, it says to me "reboot and select proper boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".

Of course, in the list of boot items, the hard-drive comes first (so, NO, it's not that I've a floppy disk in my computer... lol).

I have opened the hard-drive slot under the computer and I realised that it's turning normally when I boot it up...

So, I'd be surprised if it was a pure hard-drive problem (I'll make sure of this in the next hours by putting it in another laptop).

    What can I do?

Can this be repaired with my warranty?

    Thanks!

EDIT : from what I'm reading, it seems like many people had this problem after updating their BIOS, which I didn't. Maybe it's still a similar problem.

Ok! Finally, I think I solved it... well, I tried my hard-drive in my mother's computer : it didn't work. Then, I tried her hard-drive in mine and it was ok.

    Pffff...
