I have an MSI 16F2 barebones system that I ordered from xoticpc about nine months ago. I'm looking to improve the performance a bit for some of the more modern games that are coming out. I have the version with the GTX570m. I also have the i7-2670m CPU, so I don't think that's an issue for me. According to the Windows Experience the GPU is the bottleneck, but I know that's not really the best way to gauge performance.

What's the best/cheapest way to get a little bit more performance out of my system? BIOS upgrades? Overclocking? A completely new GPU? I'm not unhappy with the performance, just looking for a bit more. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance for your help guys and gals.

Well GPU overclocking is pretty much free so maybe try that and see if you want more.

You can overclock using nvidia inspector and will likely reach around 700mhz core speeds at stock voltage.

A higher voltage bios can be flashed to reach around 800mhz.

    Expect memory to hit 900-950mhz.
