Got into benchmarking last night and my GT73 titan pro with the 1080 scored 14706 on firestrike. I tried the test 3 times with 10 minutes in between each run. About the same results each time. I then went into my dragon center and turned on turbo mode and ran the test 3 more times with the same 10 minute cool down In between each. Average score 17014. Does this seem about right? I see people getting over 18 and 19k. Do I need to OC it a bit?

Pretty normal. Probably a desktop 1080 getting higher than that. It's not like a defective score or anything that should destroy games.

This score is pretty normal for a single 1080 and overclocking your GPU should increase your score but I would recommend overclocking your processor if your have i7-7820HK, i7-6820HK or any other processor that's unlock if you have this option and you should see a boost in your score.

    To get better scores:

    1) Go to nVIDIA Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings > Power Management > change it to High Performance

    2) While there, change the texture filtering from Quality to High Performance

    3) Also set VSYNC to OFF and disable GSYNC if you have that on your laptop

    4) Reboot

    5) Run the benchmark and see the score

I would suggest not normal, my 1070 in the ultra thin AORUS tops 15k in firestrike.
