    Good Evening Everyone,

One of the plastic hooks on the sliding latch that holds the battery in place on my 1719 broke today (really can't figure out how it happened). Anyway, I emailed RK Computer (where I purchased the machine) and they said the only option was to buy an entire lower chassis assembly which they would have to order from the manufacturer.

I rarely use this laptop so I can't see spending the money for an entire new chassis.

If anyone here has a dead 1719 (or another MSI that uses the same battery, as I assume the latches are the same) I would be interested in buying the latch assembly from you, or possibly the whole parts machine if the price was right (but I really only need/want the latch).

    Thanks,

    John
