    Hello, guys,

I need help on the following issue: the battery performance of my M675 is terrible - no matter of settings max life is about 30 minutes.

When I bought it 14 months ago it had the same problem but after a while it started giving normal performance i.e. 2 - 2 1/2 hours; I'm not sure if it kicked off by itself though - I remember reading something on the net about the problem and installing some fixes/drivers but can't find the info again for some reason.

Some time ago the video card went down and after the service gave the machine back the battery happened to be in this terrible state. I guess its cause it stayed discharged for 7-8 weeks.

As you understand the machine is not really a laptop anymore which is very frustrating and its rather justifiable to replace the computer with a new one because of the high cost of new batteries. If i have to buy a new notebook, it won't be an MSI for sure though.

    Please help :)

What is your operating system ?? You may want to check to see if when you go to battery mode that you have a Power Mode setting for battery, which basically dims the screen, lowers the processor speed, etc. You could be stuck using the Performance mode all the time even with the battery on only. I hope this helps. God Bless :)

OS = Win XP Pro; I've already checked out any power saving options - they make some difference: battery life jumps from 22 to 30 mins...
