How to check MSRP of the system before you buy from a retailer.

Take a look at the link below

    https://us.msi.com/pdf/nb/insert

Replace "insert" with the product number of the product, for example.

    GT73VR Titan pro 4k-479

Will take you to https://us.msi.com/pdf/nb/GT73VR Titan pro 4k-479.pdf

Few resellers out there will bloat the price, I'm not going to say names.

If you visit a page, for example on amazon. You can find the product number.

Other reseller might have a slightly different placement of the product ID

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N0V9O6N

So what you do is take the item model number and insert it at the end of the URL. Play around with spaces and dashes "-" to get the right thing.

KNOW THE MSRP BEFORE BUYING, ASK YOUR RESELLER TO HONOR IT.

Best place to buy in the US: Keep in mind you BUY FROM A RESELLER OUTSIDE OF YOUR STATE to avoid the useless sales tax. Or maybe amazon if you live in a state without sales tax.

This type of behaviour is sadly very common. Especially on well-known brands such as RoG, Alienware and Predator - retailers just gouge prices cause everyone's mentality "we'll that's probably the normal price cause I've heard these things are very expensive"

Anyone who buys Alienware from places other than DELL or DELL OUTLET is straight idiot, period.

ROG - really who cares, except for the G701 and GX800 series.

Predator - usually very well priced even in physical stores that charge tax.

Predators are quite overpriced here - some of the higher end ones are close to Alienware price gauging.

Now, see I had no idea. I learn something new every day. So, Kevin you cannot decide how much GenTechPC is going to sell its MSI notebooks for? In other words, if you wanted to focus on volume and sell them at a discount or a smaller profit margin and make it up by selling more than anyone else, MSI would not allow that?

That is correct, resellers have to follow MSRP. They don't want to see you selling more because you have the lowest price.

GT73VR Titan pro 4k-479 as mentioned on this thread for example, Not only MSI raised price for $200 on MSRP, they also raised price for resellers as well, even MSI don't force MSRP police we will do that on our own.
