Well i got my msi 1651 recently back. And after about 2 or 3 hours of playing Counter Strike Source my computer just freezes and gets BSOD. The motherboard was recently changed and i checked the temps. The cpu was going max 55C and gpu was going 72C 3 minutes before i froze and crashed. Anyone know what the solution. The game is compatable with the OS windows 7. drivers are up to date.
-
did it again this time last numbers i saw was cpu 62C and gpu 76C and i have a fan right under my laptop on full blast and the thing still gets hot and freezes my comp.
-
How 'bout memory? Try swapping them out, too.
-
Hmm, get hwmonitor and furmark, run that in windowed mode, then we can start checking individual components
we'l crack this case open.
-
Usually overheating on the 1651 is signaled by a black screen or a hard lock, not a bsod. What's written on it?
-
it gave me 0x00000124 when bsod. i did use hwmonitor but my source covers the whole screen so i cant see notin i would puat on windows mode but i would play really bad in a scrim.
ima run a couple of memory diagnostic to see if it is memory. Would stress test work to see if its the cpu? and any diagnostics u guys recomend i use Ultimate Boot CD and also Mri 5.04 from geeksquad.

got one for absolutley doing notin but sitting here.

it says to disable sumetin in my memory ima go run memory diagnostics. -
Well just ran mem 86 and nothing is wrong with ram..
not sure if this will help but while running it my ram was running at 400mhz and my intel chipset was running at 266mhz.
I have a T9600
and OCZ DDR2 800mhz -
That stop error 0x00000124 is for hard drives, methinks?
-
To run your ram at 400mhz and your chipset at 266 means your using bios version S right? I would try a OS reinstall to see if that fixes it. If it hangs at all during the reinstall it should be a clear sign its the HDD.
-
I have tried to reinstall different OS like xp i get random bsod only on windows 7 it goes clear...
Version : A1651IG6.112
DMI Version : 2.5
i think are my bios version. -
1.12 the latest one.. all i know.
-
Hmm thats strange, must be a driver issue then if windows 7 works.
-
well my drivers are all up to date if thats what you mean...
-
I got the same message today this time i took a picture since it froze.....was updating comp after I reformating thinking i fixed it by disabling AHCI on my hard drive and enabling 32bit.
