Hey, i just got my new laptop for a few months coming from old HP laptop. The problem that i have now is, i used to just plug my headphone to the laptop and it will automatically change the output to the headphone and when i want to used my speaker while my headphone is plugged in i just need to click the speaker icon on the taskbar and use the drop down menu like this [IMG]

With MSI, when i plug in headphone i have prompt asking me what device that i plugged in and i need to click okay to change my output to headphone and also there is no drop down menu on the task bar and even though my headphone is plugged in and used as output device, the menu still displaying it as Speakers(Realtek ......).

Right now i'm using realtek audio driver only with nahimic uninstalled, is there anyway to get the menu and setting as on my old laptop on my new MSI laptop?

clarifying a bit, what i mean by menu and setting as on old laptop is, i want the audio playback automatically changed to headphones when i plug them in without needing to clicking the audio output prompt what device that i plug, and also i want drop down menu so i can easily change between audio playback without removing the headphones that plugged in.

    Thanks

Which audio controller does your old HP has? Realtek, or another brand?
Have you tried the latest driver? See below link.

I see, with the pop-up that asks you what device you plug in, does it allow you to save your response?

yes, it does allow me to save my response, still what bugs me is why such prompt is needed and after confirming the device that plugged in is headphone, it's still diplayed as speaker and no drop down menu to easily change my audio playback
