    Hi All,

Cant Decide on the 2 laptops below is there any benefit on getting the Stealth Pro over the Apache Pro

    Stealth Pro £1299.97 - MSI GS70, GS70 2PE-014UK

    Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ Quad Core Processor
    17.3" Full HD Screen
    Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
    16GB DDR3 RAM
    128GB SSD + 1000GB HDD
Dedicated Nvidia GTX 870M 3GB Graphics
    HDMI | Bluetooth 4 | USB3
    SteelSeries Backlit Keyboard
    MSI 2 Year Warranty 9S7-177214-014

    or

    Apache Pro - £1063.40 - MSI GE70, GE70 2PE-052UK, MSI GE70 Apache Pro

    Intel® Core™ i7-4700HQ Quad Core Processor
    17.3" Full HD Screen
    Microsoft Windows 8.1 64-bit
    8GB RAM
    128GB SSD + 1000GB HDD HDD
    DVD Rewriter
    Dedicated GTX 860M 2GB Graphics
    USB3 | Bluetooth | HDMI
    Backlit Keyboard
    9S7-175912-052

I really don't need the DVD Drive and i believe that the Stealth Pro has Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 compared to the 3160 on the Apache, and of course has 870m graphics. just trying to convince myself on the price difference

    any advise is appreciated

    Thanks
    Mikey

Both are really nice systems. The GS70 will be more capable with the 870M and double the RAM. But then, if you don't need that, 8 GB is still adequate for most typical end users and even many gamers.

Hopefully the new Stealth models improved the keyboard. :)

I don't own either but looking at the specs it is obvious that the GE70 wil turn hotter as the more powerful 870m also demands more energy consumption to be drawn. This also needs a better cooler so it would also be slightly more noisy.
So the GE70 more powerful but also slightly more noisy and hotter.

This is not the GS70 which is more powerful ?
    Because the GS70 have a GTX870 and the GE70 have a GTX860.
So for you the GS is less noisy and the cooler is better.

The 870M is about 30% more powerful IIRC. It's also got a slimmer and lighter construction.

Yeah my bad. It's the GS70 that is the one that has the 870m.
