    Anyway to Undervolt CPU?

    I've seen ThrottleStop, but that doesn't seem to allow me to undervolt the cpu, or at least mine.

    I guess I should have asked the question in that way. I know how to undervolt c2d, but not an i7.

    Why would you want to?

    Sandy Bridge automatically undervolts when the CPU automatically downlocks to 800Mhz per core... Just force the multiplier at 8.0 if you want that permanent?

    You can't undervolt any notebook Core i series CPUs thus far.

    I figure it would still be stable with a lower voltage at every multiplier. I did this with rmclock on my core 2 duo and that made a huge difference.

    Probably could pin mod the CPU to undervolt by looking at the vid table in the datasheet.

    I might try it myself, because it's hard to overclock the SB CPU so might as well undervolt it to keep it cool so that it can turbo forever.

    I'll be sure to post a thread in the hardware section if I get it done.
