Im interested in the MSI Apache GE70 and besides being a thin gaming laptop is there anything special about it like less heat and producing noise compared to the other MSI gaming notebooks?

It's the cheaper alternative to the GS line. Single fan. Bulkier.

Actually it's portable vs the GT line and the GE60 apache is even lighter at only 5.2lbs compared to the first two revisions of the GE60 with its ugly glossy lid around 6lbs, and also other normal 15incher and 15incher gaming laptops. The GS70 is like the Razer 14, which is an anomaly and in a class of its own but still uses a kepler gpu and too expensive.

    Technically it is

GT line - Top of the line hardware, max out specs
GE line - Perfect balance of power and mid-high range spec with portability
GP line - Good balance of multimedia power in the mid-range spec that can occasionally game

Then the GS line - Which is their special edition model, where it is thin and light and you have to pay xtra for it which increases the price premium.
