I want to compare other's performance and setting with what is happening on my machine. I am partially convinced that there is something physically wrong with my hardware. Apart from the compositor issues I have posted about before (search my username), I am unable to get Supersampling to work very well at all. It works fine on my desktop that has a GTX 970. I thought the GTX 1060 would outperform that card. Any input or advice would be appreciated while I am still in the warranty phase. Just PM me or respond to this post if you have this setup. TIA!

I also have the GS43VR 6RE. Yes, I also have the problem with supersampling. I've also discovered that there is a major problem with the onboard intel GFX & optimus, which cannot be disabled. This completely ruins any desktop access in VR. Any VR software which accesses the desktop tends to have major problems. See below for a crash report I sent to the Devs of BigscreenVR Beta & their reply.

    Hi. I have a stock MSI GS43VR 6RE Laptop & a HTC Vive.
When attempting to run BigscreenVR Beta I get a flickering loading screen & it crashes.
As per the crash dialogue box request, I'm sending you the folder containing the crash log. (See attached)
    Can you help?

    Hi,
Your laptop has Nvidia Optimus. That unfortunately causes performance problems in many VR apps, especially Bigscreen. We don't currently support Nvidia Optimus because the desktop is not accessible to the VR app on those laptops (the desktop exists on the integrated GPU, while the VR app runs on the dedicated GPU). It causes extremely bad performance, which is what you are experiencing.
We have asked Nvidia for help and are hopeful for a fix for laptops that have Optimus by Summer 2017

I've not heard of compositor issues.

Feel free to PM me. Maybe we can pool our resources to get better answers to our GS43VR 6RE/HTC Vive issues.
