Has anyone tried to do a modification to change out the keyboard on the 1651? I just ordered mine, but am a little apprehensive about that layout. It seems like you may be able to get another MSI keyboard of the same interface, plug it in and go.

Or am I just insane? Either way, looking forward to my first MSI!

If you are referring to the U.K. layout, then yes, there are U.S. layouts. FrostyComputers has a keyboard you can swap into the laptop.

Sorry, I don't think they have it on the site.

I believe you have to call and ask for it. The guy can help you out with the swapping if you need. The truth is, only a handful of companies/sites are authorized dealers of MSI, so you won't find the keyboard much anywhere else.

    The main site is http://www.frostycomputers.com

RK Computers( http://www.rkcomputer.net/rkcnotebooks/) can get MSI parts. They were able to get me a mainboard and lid for a laptop. Also I bought a new MSI keyboard on eBay from someone in Canada that had switched theirs to french or something.
