Title says it all, just curious if it is possible and feasible...and where I would purchase such a replacement keyboard.

While I have not, I do have an observation..... :D

I had a GT780 once upon a time, and took note of where the power ribbon for the keyboard plugged into the motherboard.

The same thing apears to exist on the 683/16F2 board, it just doesn't have the plastic connector to clip the ribbon into place. It's missing the plastic connector, it's just the bare socket and pins. That's the best way I can describe it.

I don't know if the pins do anything, or even it if would work if someone were to find the right connector for the pins that are there. It may not even be active, but it appeared to me to be the same thing just from glancing over it.

What you saw were the pads to connect the socket, but the firmware may not send power to it anyway.

That's what I was referring to at the end. It probably doesn't do anything, but who knows?

    Hello dsottum-

This is not a doable feature upgrade. The motherboard does not support back-lit keys.

The MSI FORCE 1761 has recently added this feature upgrade however. Very cool stuff.
