I am looking for a quiet laptop that can handle temperatures well.

The MSI GT75 8RF from HIDevolution with their $95 repaste service is quiet appealing.

Donald from HIDevolution himself even recommended it.

I wonder, is anyone using custom fan profiles on the MSI GT75?

I am curious as to how low you can set the fans during gaming while maintaining stable temperatures (e.g. anything under 80C).

Thank you so much for the insight!

Use "MSI Silent Option" for Skylake. It should still work with these laptops. It's still the same basic arch (Skylake, kaby lake, 6 core)

Note that under games which are really demanding the GT75 can get fairly loud, this is expected due to the very high end hardware inside the notebook.

I use silent options with custom profile, stock paste, @ Falkentyne bios recommended setting and video card undervolt. Most time fan on 2500rpm for me its comfortable and cpu temp average 70C(max 80), gpu temp 65-80 depends of game

I use MSI Silent Option as well with the "Basic" profile slider set to one notch right of center. This helps keep idle temperatures in line (40-45 degrees) without being too loud.
