I just saw a review on the new Asus Zephyrus S and they stated it doesn't come with TB3 since it doesn't need it due to the internal specs of the system. If that's true, what are the benefits in having TB3 with the GS65 vs standard USB C? I'm just trying to figure out if there are any accessories that make the TB3 worthy? I tried using a Aorus Gaming Box with the GS65 (1080gtx) but every time I disconnected correctly, my Nvidia drivers needed to be reinstalled in order for the internal 1070 to seen by the system. I tried this pretty much straight out of the box after installing the latest drivers. So using an eGPU didn't really add any value at this point.

Due compatibility hardware and software I think you should using it for a while. I’ve Blade 15 and Core that theoretically the best host and device pair but first 2 or 3 days I had drivers issues that keep me installing nvidia driver in order to let my Blade 15 recognize again 1070 dGPU after unplugging TB3 from The core, after that somehow the problem was gone, now it’s hot plug (plug and play) last time I remember, (potential solution from driver loosing after unplugging) was installed again same driver after plugging to the core. Aorus gaming box is good selling gpu due the price and form but a lot issue also that comes with it like incompatibility.
Benefits having TB3 is you’re having modern laptops, like MacBook all TB3Well Transfer speed 4 times better than usb C 10gbs vs 40Gbs, with that you can using it also for 4K monitor at 60Hz.

Thanks! So what eGPU and Nvidia card would you recommend for the GS65 that has the best performance and compatibility? I would prefer one that also works well as a hub. Should I grab the RTX2080 for the most impact to graphics with the GS65?
Any benefit having TB3 w/the GS65?
