I just received my MSI 1722 (Although I have email into the company since I have around 6 bad pixels right in a row) - and its a great machine. I had no option from the vendor to add TV, so my question is - Can I add the TV Card myself? I see the antenna is on the case itself, but If I get the card I see on the net that claims to be the Tv card for this, does it also come with a cable to connect to that small jack on the side of the case?

    Thanks!

You can buy one from ebay, that's what I did. Just make sure it's the right version for your area and it's not HP brand.

Cool - I appreciate the quick response :)

Do the kits on Ebay come with the antenna cable? and I havent looked, but I assume there is an empty mini-pci slot on the back of the unit?

you don't need a cable, you use the cable that's provided inside the 1722.

You will have to remove the gpu heatsink in order to install the tv card.

Sorry, I was vague :) So that cable makes sense, but what about the external port for an antenna or coax cable in?

oh yea, you will need to get that cable. My HP dv4t came with one, so I didn't have to get one.
