I found this interesting, as I think this may really be the first option challenging the GT83VR.

21" curved screen with a Kaby Lake chip, 1080s in SLI with 5 fans and a mechanical keyboard? It ain't gonna be cheap, but it looks like MSI will have some serious competition in the high end.

I wonder what MSI has up its sleeve to respond?

Well, that acer is most likely the response to GT83 and Asus GX800 laptops.

We need more info but the things I don't like is the numpad/touchpad device, and what seems to be full soldered on componets. But due to how things are panning out, I think this last thing won't matter much in the market anyways.

from the looks of it, and the info given, it def kills the GT83 and GX800.

So what's the point of having a curved screen at 21 inches?

It's supposed to give you the Acer wraparound wide-vision monitor experience like their desktop monitors.

Acer didn't mention the frame rate / refresh, but it should also be a key selling factor, something like 100hz-144hz-200hz.

Bringing these desktop monitor features to the laptop experience:

    Predator Z1 - 2560x1080, like the X21 screen:\

The world's first curved gaming monitor that completely immerses you in the game universe. Absolutely stunning.

also, having a curved screen lets the light hit your eye from every part of the screen. Much more even, brilliant, brighter picture.
