Well the viewing angles are similar, maybe slightly better on the AUO, i'd say black levels are not massively different, but the AUO goes brighter. The colours are the obvious difference and they pop a lot more, to the point where I am still getting used to it.

It's really easy to swap out:

    1) put your nails under the bezel on the inside of the display and gently pull, once popped run your hands round the outside and unclip the bezel.

    2) Remove the top two and bottom six screws securing the frame.

    3) Gently undo the clips (while gently pulling up the frame) at the side (you may need a flathead screwdriver for the bottom ones). Hold the back of the display so it does not fall.

    4) Unstick the cable from the back of the display, the cable is stuck down using two pieces of tape, one orange and one clear beneath the orange one. Unplug the cable (carefully).

    5) Undo the screws at the side and hold the panel (so it does not fall) and screw the new panel in (easiest way to do this is to put a screw through the metal frame and match the panel to it as it can be fiddly). Put the top then second from bottom in first, don't fully tighten them and then slide the panel to match up the hole between them as the panel has room to move in the frame and will likely not be lined up properly.

    Now just reverse the process.

Also for those of you interested in the built in bluetooth:

@Meaker: When you say "built in bluetooth", would this make it possible to have bluetooth together with a bigfoot wlan? I want my gt780 to have bluetooth and bfn 1103 without having to plug in a bluetooth usb dongle.

Assuming the GT780 has the same port on the mobo (which is likely) then yes, it just plugs in and acts like an internal usb port.

    It's definitely an amazing screen.

Once you start watching Blu-rays and gaming on it, you'll start to really see how truly gorgeous the V.4 is compared to other displays.

Another vote for the AUO V4

It is just amazing how much colour Ive been missing all this time! Photo's, video's and gaming. No more washed out colours for me :D

Coupled with the matte screen and its brightness, I dont have to bother turning the lights down, or trying to fight the reflections of a glossy any more...Happy days!
