does anyone know if you can get the x-fi mb working on the ALC888S ?

in aida64 it just says Realtek ALC888/1200, but the realtek cpl says ALC888S. I've tried a few versions but they all say unsupported device. I did some searching and found one person who claimed it work on the codec my laptop has but i reckon he was lying....
